Katy was raised in Houston and spent much of her time outdoors, which shaped her academic path and interest in the relationships between environment, health, and community well-being. Katy earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Bioenvironmental Sciences and her Master of Public Health in Environmental Health from Texas A&M University, where she explored how environmental systems and public health principles come together to create healthier, more resilient communities.
Katy’s professional experience includes environmental research and work in health, safety, and sustainability, strengthening compliance and risk management programs, and investigating more sustainable alternatives to chemical pesticides and herbicides. She has always been drawn to the communication side of her work, organizing complex information, translating technical concepts, and helping others understand the impact of environmental and design decisions.
In her personal time, Katy enjoys gardening, visiting national parks, sailing, and kayaking. She looks forward to contributing to projects that reflect her values and support the firm’s mission of creating sustainable, engaging, and equitable environments.
