Before entering into landscape architecture, Rob studied traditional architecture for a few years, but realized that his love of botany and ecology would be better put to use in a field that promised the creation of real and lasting change. Throughout his career Rob has worked on a wide variety of projects including but not limited to city parks, religious facilities, commercial properties, streetscapes, K-12 schools, higher education campuses, mixed-use developments, civic and nonprofit developments, as well as a spaceport business park. Rob is passionate about sustainable and low-impact development, urban forestry, New Urbanism, ecosystem restoration, complete streets, and native plant materials.
Prior to joining Asakura Robinson, Rob earned his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY-ESF), and during this time he completed a semester abroad in Barcelona. In his free time, Rob likes to spend time reading about a great deal of subjects, sketches, and paints. One of Rob’s true passions outside of work is the culinary arts, and has a collection of cookbooks that grows as he travels.
