In July, Margaret attended the 16th annual EPA Region 6 Stormwater Conference in Fort Worth, Texas. The conference addressed and discussed the various issues and challenges of managing municipal stormwater, as well as new and upcoming rules and regulations.
Margaret participated in the Low Impact Development (LID) panel where she spoke on “Designing with LID.” Her presentation addressed her experience with introducing LID and the concept behind it to clients. Using images from her work on Houston’s Mandell Park and a diagram on bioswales, Margaret explained how LID can be presented to clients in a valuable and appealing way.
