Caroline became a landscape designer to combine several passions she wanted to work in: design, equitable infrastructure, and climate change adaptation. A recent MLA graduate from LSU’s Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture, she was able to engage in several topics that she wants to continue to develop as a professional: ecologically-informed design, equitable spaces, and climate disaster mitigation.

An undergraduate degree in speech pathology and audiology started her interest in ADA accessibility and equitable access within the built environment and has been beneficial when addressing challenges related to these topics. Growing up in the coastal zone of Louisiana, she has seen first-hand how vital it is to design and build resilient infrastructure and integrate natural systems within communities.

She developed a passion for research during her graduate studies as a research assistant and believes in the importance of developing a deeper understanding of a project’s challenges to identify the solutions that benefit both communities and ecosystems they reside in. She hopes to continue to find ways to nurture that passion for research as she continues her career. In her personal time, she enjoys reading (and lately has been on a Louisiana history and culture and water communities kick), painting, trying new recipes, and going to museums.
