Erin Cannon is an Associate Principal and Director of Technical Documentation based in Asakura Robinson’s Houston design studio. Originally a graduate of Texas A&M University, Erin’s career has taken her from Texas to Colorado, China, Arizona, and now, back to Texas. Her focus, regardless of location, is turning great design into finished and built places. A special interest is design /post-construction review and discovering the answers to questions, such as – Is the project functioning as expected? Are the users able to enjoy the work as designed? What works best and which elements might be designed better? How is technology changing the design of spaces, the materials used, and the life-span of these spaces? Since joining Asakura Robinson, Erin’s projects have included Eldridge 3 Courtyard renovations, El Centro de Corazon Clinic landscape, as well as numerous University of Houston site designs, specification updates, and landscape design guidelines.
She has been drawing and doodling most of her life and this has led to a passion for all types of graphics. Watercolor is a specialty, and her work has been exhibited in galleries in Arizona and Austin.
