Wei is an urban designer and UX designer who focuses on human-centered design for both physical spaces and digital products. Wei co-leads companies’ research and innovation group and spearheads companies’ strategies of machine learning and product development for improving data understanding, engaging the public, and informing design decisions. As a UX designer, he has successfully designed and shipped a number of web and mobile applications that are business-facing and customer-facing.
Prior to being the director of UX design, Wei was senior urban designer and project manager who has held a leadership role on a variety of projects that are award-winning including Houston vision 2020 competition, local and international tactical urbanism competitions, and vision zero action plan graphic design. As an urban designer, Wei is passionate about understanding urban vitality through different cultural lenses. He specializes in mixed-use development, streetscape design, graphic design, and placemaking/placekeeping projects.
